SB&OH EXCHANGE ACCOMMODATORS, LLC April 6, 2004 Dear Friends: April already! Today is the opening of the baseball season and we all wish success to the Seattle Mariners and the Tacoma Rainiers. Go Mariners! The past month has been particularly busy for us not only processing new exchanges but completing our education program as well. We are committed to offering meaningful continuing education classes to the real estate professional. As a foundation we have licensed a school with the State of Washington: the “SB&OH Career Advancement Learning Center.” Although initially our program is directed towards the real estate professional, we plan in the future to include the accounting, legal and escrow disciplines. Jeff Helsdon, Tom Oldfield, Phil Sloan and Doug Somers, all attorneys with Sloan Bobrick Oldfield & Helsdon, P.S., have been certified as instructors and have begun presenting classes. With the number of classes we presently have developed, we definitely have need of more than one or two people to teach them. Although we continue to develop new classes, we presently have four available. Our basic class is a 3.5 clock hour presentation covering all aspects of “Real Estate Exchanges.” We also offer a class on “Short Sales and Foreclosures;” another on “Mediation for the Real Estate Professional;” and a fourth on “Easements in the State of Washington.” All classes are for 3.5 hours of credit. For your information, we have included a current listing of classes available in the next few months. We also invite your suggestions on subject matter you would like to see made available. Please contact Helen Alba with your suggestions. Her phone number is 253-414-3529, her email is halba@sbo-law.com and she can be contacted by fax at 253-414-3500. We sincerely hope you will give us any ideas you may have. Sincerely, |
